“You've tried the rest now try the best " - it’s an old saying but one that sums up Benodet Breaks. After several holidays in France with the so called "Big Tour Operators" we decided to try this smaller family run company.

What makes Benodet Breaks special is you deal direct with the owners, whether that is Steve or Marg or as in our case their super efficient daughter Stella, you can be confident that everything they say is correct as they know the sites intimately and can tell you all you need to know.  This professionalism was extended through to the site itself by their excellent representatives Keith and Sue, who made us very welcome, nothing was too much trouble for them and they always made sure we were taken care of.

The site itself at Port-de-Plaisance was absolutely superb. It has something for everyone, whether you want to lounge by the pool complex or try the high wire adventure course (some of us braved it ) there is always something to do, even if it rains you can still swim in the huge indoor pool or have a workout in the well equipped gym.

As for the pitches they were some of the best positioned on the park, very roomy and private as well as extremely quiet at night, although still only a few minutes’ walk to the excellent entertainment centre where you could experience a great night out and a good selection of meals in the restaurant.

The icing on the cake for us was the quality of our caravan, it was huge inside and offered the best level of comfort we have ever experienced, combined with the fact it was immaculately clean you couldn't ask for more, the wooden decking also provided another "room" for entertaining on those warm French evenings.

In summing up Benodet Breaks are without a doubt the best holiday company we have been with, they offer superb accommodation, excellent sites and the most professional service you could ever wish for. Thank you to everyone at Benodet Breaks for making our 2009 holiday such an enjoyable experience, we look forward to seeing you again soon.

“We have been to France for the last six summers with four different operators and can honestly say that Benodet Breaks is by far the best.

The caravan we stayed in was second to none. It was immaculately clean when we arrived, the amount of inventory in the caravan was exceptional, the plots massive and decking large enough to get three families on for a barbecue! 

Port de Plaisance provided peace and quiet around the caravan itself (well received when getting to sleep at night) whilst the main entertainment areas provided more than enough to do for our 17 year old son and 11 year old daughter. The fantastic indoor pool was most welcome on the couple of days the sun did not shine and the outdoor pool area and sun beds were brilliant when it did.

Benodet Break’s local representatives, Keith & Sue, were the best you can get – nothing was too much trouble and they were always there when you needed them.

The holiday was so good we actually booked again for 2010 before we left the site!

Many thanks for making our first holiday to France the best holiday we have ever had. From the ease of the booking to being  made so welcome by Keith and Sue  everything was great and to find such new lovely accommodation was a good start, very modern spacious and well equipped.  And it just got better! We were very pleased the way the mobile homes were positioned giving everyone their own space and privacy. The camp site (Port de Plaisance) had everything for all ages and the surrounding area was just breath taking. The only down side to this holiday was having to leave’ but only days after our return home we had all ready booked with you to go again next year.

We arrived to a warm and friendly welcome from Keith and Sue, after meeting with them they very kindly showed us to our mobile home.  We were both very impressed, it was spotlessly clean and very tastefully set out – I must say there wasn’t anything else we could have wanted, it was so well equipped.

We both had such a restful break and also managed to visit a lot of places and enjoyed the local food and drink.  We will definitely be in touch early in the New Year with a view to re-booking!!!

Just a note to thank you for the wonderful holiday that we had at Port de Plaisance at the end of August.

We have holidayed with many of the ‘national’ operators in this type of holiday and it is fair to say you knock spots off them for service and the quality of the accommodation. 

The holiday parc was also excellent. Our girls loved all the facilities especially the pony riding and the pools. They also made lots of friends and are demanding to return next year. They adored the Circus that turned up on site, as did many of the families staying with you. 

We thought you had bagged just about the nicest part of the site for your mobile homes and we loved the way they were arranged around each other as opposed to the rows that other companies often offer.

Top notch, we had a wonderful time.

We just wanted to drop you a line to say thank you for such a lovely holiday. From the moment we first spoke on the phone it was a pleasure and our holiday more than matched our expectations.

 The mobile home was beautiful and we had all the comforts of home - the bottle of wine, tea, coffee etc were lovely little touches and we felt at home as soon as we arrived. 

 My 2 sons and their friend enjoyed the site so much we only went off site for 2 of the 7 days we were there! While we were there we visited Brest and Concarneau and thoroughly enjoyed them but the boys were pleased to get back in the car to head back to the campsite! The boys loved the freedom of popping to the park or the pool with us just trailing after them!

 We are looking forward to holidaying with you again and would highly recommend you and the site we stayed at.

Just to say that this was our first trip to France and the quality of the mobile home we stayed in with yourselves has now made it very difficult for us to look at anywhere else - it really was superb and equipped with everything we had thought we would need plus also things we had never imagined would be there – plastic cups & plates for the little ones, pizza cutter, pegs, iron etc. 

The park was fantastic - the kids loved the acrobat courses, ping pong tables and the swimming pool and the space around the caravan was great - particularly when we noticed how close some of the others were.  We were also really impressed with your couriers, Keith, Sue & Stella - all were friendly and helpful - Sue even put our washing inside when we were out and it had started to rain which was a really lovely touch.

What more can I say other than thanks for all the advice you gave us in the lead up to our holiday.  As we seemed to run out of time to do everything we wanted to in our 10 days I'm sure we will be getting in touch very soon to book for next year too.

Just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful holiday in Benodet.

Your couriers Keith & Sue gave us a lovely warm welcome when we arrived which was very much appreciated...the bottle of red wine went down very well. They were very helpful and gave us lots of information about the area and places to visit.

The mobile home was fabulous, everything you could possibly need was available and so clean, I doubt we will find a mobile home anywhere else that meets this standard.

The parc and resort were great, none of us were ready to come home after 10 days, in all this has to be one of our best holidays.

Just a note to tell you what a great holiday we had in Port de Plaisance, the park was well equipped for our family of four and your reps were very dutiful and solved any small issues we had.

The mobile was in excellent condition and ample room with three bedrooms which made a huge difference to our comfort, our plot/mobile was far superior to the other company mobiles in the park

We met lovely families on our stay and even had a BBQ nite with all our Scottish friends. One of the Families Margaret Marie Peter and kids emailed us already to say it was one of their best holidays. We found the site very central with a leisurely river walk to the town centre and beach. Supermarket Carrefour 400  meters away catered for all our needs on our doorstep however the site shop was well stocked and reasonable for a convenience store.

We intend booking with you next year and will be in contact very soon.

Where to begin in thanking yourselves for a truly magnificent holiday in Benodet?

From the moment we initially booked with yourselves, to our driving off the ferry on our return to England, everything went smoothly. Your complete handling of our holiday, the site itself and the position and inventory of our holiday home on the site was absolutely superb. 

We visited nearly all the places of interest mentioned on the map in the holiday home and found each and every one to be interesting and picturesque.  The coastline is really superb with wonderful beaches and breathtaking views. 

 Your couriers Keith and Sue could not have been more helpful, they are a real asset to you.

A great welcome when we arrived on site by your staff and a very pleasant surprise to find a complimentary bottle of wine on the table as we walked through the door along with milk etc in the fridge. Here in Swansea  a few of us have taken numerous self catering holidays in southern Brittany with a company named Benodet Breaks.

This is a superb privately owned company run by Mr Steve & Marg Jackson and their daughters offering second- to-none self catering holidays in France.

The Port de Plaisance site is fantastic for a family based holiday with a whole host of activities for tiny tots to teenagers alike. ( Check out the new Adventure play ground and outdoor pool complex both brand new for 2008.)

Since 2001 Myself  and Swansea colleagues Mike Sell and Martin Nicholas have visited with our families and friends numerous times and always been amazed at the Park facilities and the cleanliness and hospitality provided by Benodet breaks “who incidentally have 2 fantastic and very knowledgeable permanent reps on site”  and the whole French life experience.

On site there are Restaurants, Rotisseries, Pizza bars, a small Supermarket, Bike hire, and a host of daily activities provided to keep the children amused.

Off site but within a few miles there’s a minimum 8 local beaches, fine beach front restaurants ,historic cities, water parks and a whole host of tourist days out.

Our preferred ferry crossing is Plymouth to Roscoff,  “all booked for you” by Steve and Marg. The ferry takes 6 hours, the major bonus being the reduced transfer time to site from Roscoff, which is an easy 90 minute drive.

All three of us from Swansea will fully endorse this recommendation and guarantee once you have sampled Benodet Breaks quality you will go back time and time again. (Eurocamp, Key camp etc just don’t compare)

We have all recommended this company to our friends and families over the last few years and subsequently the Jackson family have become good friends of ours and I’m sure if you mention us personally you might even get a discount!

The Bel Air park itself is very well equipped and maintained and all the staff on the site are helpful and obliging at all times.

The surrounding countryside is beautiful and has plenty of small towns to visit, and all within 30 odd minutes....so no long drives with kids.

Mo and Jo are an delight to deal with and a credit to your company. Lovely people.

In a nutshell, I would have no hesitation recommending a holiday with Benodet Breaks (aldready have in fact).

The mobile home was the best we've ever seen and was only matched by the welcome we received from Mo and Jo.
My wife, in particular, was most impressed with your attention to detail, in providing drinking water, milk, refuse bags and, of course, the welcoming bottle of wine.

The staff at Port de Plaissance could not have been nicer and much fun was also had at L'Alhambra restaurant, an old haunt of ours with a new owner and generous host (I think his name is Luke). We are seriously considering returning next year - the sooner the better - and expect to be in touch as soon as we finalise a date.

We wanted to thank you for such a wonderful holiday and can only praise you both on the way in which our holiday was handled, from the first phone call to leaving the campsite.  You dealt with our booking and queries with total professionalism and friendliness and listened to all our requests which were fulfilled.

We have been on holiday to Benodet previously and have to say that was a non contender in comparison to the holiday with Benodet Breaks.  My husband and I had reservations as to whether the accommodation would be as good as the pictures on your website, but once we arrived, we had a friendly welcome from your onsite staff and were more than pleased to find that the accommodation was in fact exactly the same as the pictures.  We stayed in a Cottage Gold 3 bedroomed caravan which was of the highest standard that I have stayed in.  It was a real surprise to be greeted with a bottle of wine, biscuits and tea and coffee, it made our arrival very pleasant.

The park itself was wonderful. A brand new pool, Acrobat which my daughter could not stay off! Plenty of things to do for the kids which left my parents, husband and myself with plenty of time to relax.  The club house was fantastic with amazing staff.  It catered for both children and adults alike.

I loved the way that the campsite is set out.  Not like in Britain where the caravans are in rows all next to each other.  The campsite seemed to have four or five caravans facing into a green which meant that the kids could play without annoying too many people and they were safe and in eyeshot.

What more can I say, the holiday was fantastic and was enjoyed by both myself and my husband and my parents.  The kids thought it was the best holiday that they had been on.  I just did not want to come home!

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday at the Port De Plaisance site in Benodet. We found the holiday homes were very comfortable, a bonus in bad weather, and the little extras were a pleasant surprise to other holiday homes we have used.

You really do offer excellent value for money. The site was well positioned and had something for everybody to do.

Even though the weather could have been better we visited many of the wonderful beaches you recommended, and spent hours watching all the sailing activities in the bay. There are so many places to see that we are booking for next year.

Just wanted to let you know how brilliant the mobile home was.  We were the first ones in our van and it was beyond our expectations.  We were very impressed with everything that you provided, right down to the salad spinner!!!  It was nice to have proper crockery and cutlery which have not been bulk bought like the other companies.  Your dinner plates actually fitted our dinner on!!

The site was also excellent.  Lovely and quiet.  

Your set up on site and everything about your vans were far better than other "camping" companies we have experienced.  Can you please expand quicker into other areas, we will definitely book with you again.

I was introduced to Benodet Breaks when out of curiosity I attended an open house event when staying at Port du Plaisance campsite a couple of years ago. It was immediately apparent that the quality of their accommodation was vastly superior to the mobile home which we had rented.

We subsequently booked for the following year for a two week stay and found that the price was actually lower than it would have been for an equivalent period with other providers. The van was excellently equipped, (the deckings are a real bonus) and the site and its facilities together with its staff, were first class.

I have recommended Benodet Breaks to both friends and colleagues, all of whom are now converts, and shall continue to do so. Their on-site representatives came to our assistance  when we were faced with a problem and the whole booking/arrangement process was seamless.

Benodet is a beautiful place and I particularly recommend the fireworks in August and The Breton Tavern (just down the road from the site opposite Champion) for very reasonably priced meals. Oh, and I nearly forgot every football match on TV.

 

Bryan and Wendy Griffiths, Caernafon Just a few words to thank you so much for arranging our holiday; we thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Bell Air and will recommend it to all our friends and family. The site was fantastic and the Mobile Home was excellent with everything available. We took several pictures and I enclose a couple for your future brochures if required.

We will be booking again for next year, possibly a 10 or even a 14 day stay as the travelling is quite a trek for us and I am not too keen on driving, although I drove all the way both ways his time. We did stop at St Mount Michelle as we wanted our friends to see this fantastic place as we had been there some years ago.

We have now returned from our holiday at Bel Air, which was very enjoyable. We have never rented a mobile home before, and were delighted when we arrived to find a welcoming tray of tea/coffee AND a bottle of wine and two glasses.

We were also very pleased with the location of the van - at the end of the row with trees behind us, and plenty of space. My grandchildren were very quick to make friends and thoroughly enjoyed the swimming pools. We also enjoyed the fun park, although as we were in France, we did want to get out and about to see local places.

Your couriers Maureen and Joe we very helpful, especially as I'd brought bedding for one double and three single duvets,. Maureen was able to provide a spare duvet cover.

The mobile home at Port de Plaisance was to the very highest standard and spotless, everything we needed and more. The pool area is very clean, this was our first visit to Benodet at port de Plaisance. The accommodation was first class, spacious, spotless and beautifully furnished to a very high standard. The children had a wonderful time and the pool was excellent, and there was plenty to see in the area. Couriers Don and Jean where very helpful and very efficient - even to the extent of the use of Jean's credit card to obtain petrol on the last evening. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we have booked for next year.
